Durga Saptashati

The Durga Saptashati, also called the Devi Mahatmya, is part of the Markandeya Purana. Its 13 chapters and about seven hundred verses tell how Maa Durga saved the world from Madhu-Kaitabh, Mahishasur and Shumbh-Nishumbh. Devotees especially recite it during Navratri.
