Chapter 18 · Liberation through Renunciation · Krishna said

Bhagavad Gita 18.47 — Your own path is best

श्रेयान्स्वधर्मो विगुणः परधर्मात्स्वनुष्ठितात्। स्वभावनियतं कर्म कुर्वन्नाप्नोति किल्बिषम् ॥

śreyānsvadharmo viguṇaḥ paradharmātsvanuṣṭhitāt | svabhāvaniyataṃ karma kurvannāpnoti kilbiṣam ||

Meaning

Better is one's own duty, even done imperfectly, than another's duty done well. Doing the work suited to one's own nature, a person does not incur sin.

In today's life

Rather than shine by copying someone else's path, choose work that fits your own nature — even if it feels less perfect at first.
