Shrimad Bhagwat Puran
The Shrimad Bhagwat was composed by the sage Ved Vyasa and recited by Shukdev over seven days to King Parikshit, who sat awaiting death. Its twelve cantos hold the stories of devotees like Dhruv, Prahlad and Gajendra, the Lord's avatars, and in the Tenth Canto the beloved leelas of Shri Krishna. We retell it here in simple language.
