Jai Vaishnavi Mata Aarti — Lyrics with Meaning
The holy shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi is a cave on the Trikuta mountain in Jammu. This aarti describes that lovely cave, the high mountain, the waving flags and ringing bells. Its last line names the devotee Dhyanu. It is sung in homes during Navratri and before or after the pilgrimage.
Jai Vaishnavi Mata, maiya jai Vaishnavi Mata | Haath jod tere aage, aarti main gaata ||
Sheesh pe chhatra viraje, murtiya pyari | Ganga bahti charanan, jyoti jage nyari ||
Brahma Ved padhe nit dware, Shankar dhyan dhare | Sevak chanvar dulavat, Narad nritya kare ||
Sundar gufa tumhari, man ko ati bhave | Baar-baar dekhan ko, ae Maa man chave ||
Bhavan pe jhande jhoolen, ghanta dhvani baaje | Ooncha parvat tera, Mata priya laage ||
Paan supari dhvaja nariyal, bhent pushp meva | Daas khade charanon mein, darshan do Deva ||
Jo jan nishchay karke, dwaar tere aave | Uski ichchha puran, Mata ho jaave ||
Itni stuti nish-din, jo nar bhi gaave | Kahte sevak Dhyanu, sukh sampatti paave ||
